At Brightwork, we place great importance on the role we play in helping to support local communities and the environment surrounding us. We have been acknowledged and awarded for our services within the neighbourhoods and areas where we operate. In 2015, Brightwork was recognised by Scotland’s Real Living Wage as the very first accredited service provider within the recruitment industry. We were honoured to be awarded the accolade of UK’s most Socially Responsible Recruitment Agency.
Brightwork are a founding member of the Scotland Against Modern Slavery movement and are committed to raising awareness and tackling labour exploitation within the Scottish business community. Alongside our corporate partners, we promote best practise around anti-human-trafficking practices, in a bid to eradicate modern slavery from our supply chains.
Brightwork also engage and partner with a range of employability services providers, assisting a diverse range of people within our communities who require additional help and support in getting back into work.

Our principles
We take our responsibility to promote a healthy working environment, minimising our environmental impact and striving for continual improvement in the quality of our services. In 2023, Brightwork’s Glasgow office gained accreditation to the global quality standard ISO9001, recognising our ongoing commitment to advancing our business systems & processes. We also hold certified membership to a range of other HSEQ supplier approval platforms including Alcumus (Safe Contractor) and SMAS Worksafe, and continue to be an active member of the Association of Labour Suppliers (ALP).
Brightwork has been independently reviewed and certified by international assessment bodies that aim to improve environmental and social practices of companies by leveraging the influence of global supply chains. We were first certified by Sedex in 2014 followed soon afterwards by Ecovadis in 2016, in recognition of our ongoing efforts and commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices. We continue to work closely with these partner organisations to maintain a programme of monitoring and improvement of our practices.
