This is an excellent opportunity within a leading Waste and Recycling specialist, an organisation committed to maximising sustainable waste management and recovery and supporting the reduction of global waste impact.
The role – Mechanical Engineer (Fitting and Fabrication)
You will have a dynamic and varied role and will be responsible for undertaking all elements of mechanical engineering within a fast paced and dynamic processing environment.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
- Undertaking a broad range of Mechanical Engineering activities including sitewide fabrication, welding and maintenance
- Fault finding
- Emergency breakdown and repair
- Planned Preventative Maintenance
- New plant and equipment installation as required
- Continuous Improvement activities
You will ideally be Time Served or qualified to HNC level in a Mechanical discipline and have proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Fabricator within a process, manufacturing or engineering environment. In addition to a first class maintenance and fabrication background, you will have well developed welding skills, previous experience in Mig/MMA welding essential.
