Brightwork are delighted to be recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector on behalf of our client on a full time, permanent basis. This is an onsite role based in Aberdeen.

As QC Inspector you will be responsible for the inspection of machined parts including NDT inspections ensuring all relevant reports and documentation are completed and signed off.

Working with this client, key areas will include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct inspection of components throughout the various stages of manufacture, from raw material to final inspection and complete all relevant documentation
  • Carry out NDT inspections as per customer specifications and complete relevant reports
  • Identify all parts as per customer requirements ensuring full traceability
  • Carry out hardness checks as per customer requirements and drawing locations
  • Assist in the calibration of all measuring equipment as and when required ensuring all records are updated
  • Raise and report all non-conformances to production and ensure the relevant information is recorded
  • Ensure all QA/QC operations are completed in ERP system and route cards signed off
  • Assist in investigating, resolving, and finding the root cause of any problems which may be causing non-conforming products and thereby maintaining productivity
  • Assisting Management in the implementation of all Company HSEQ policies and procedures
  • Assisting in the training/development of new employees and apprentices
  • Reporting any methods or procedures to improve quality and efficiency to Management

Experience:

  • HNC/C&G or NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
  • Experience in a similar role
  • CMM Experience (Bridge & Mobile Arm) – Preferred but training will be provided
  • Excellent communication (both written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to build trust and good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Ability to manage and motivate yourself and surrounding team.
  • Highly professional conduct.
  • High standard of personal and process safety.
  • Flexible approach.

Educational

  • MPI/LPI - SNT/PCN Level II – Preferred but training will be provided
