Brightwork's client is currently recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to join their team, where you will help to ensure the smooth operation of our client's machinery, plant, and equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery, plant, and equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly.
Carry out the installation of machinery, plant, and equipment as needed.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to prepare and implement a planned maintenance schedule.
Respond to reactive maintenance requirements efficiently to minimise downtime and costs.
Immediately report issues or defects with machinery and take appropriate action.
Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects and actively contribute to team meetings.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, report on KPIs, and analyse variances to drive continuous improvement.
Assist with operator training for machinery and equipment when required.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure optimal site performance.
Qualifications/Experience
Trade certification or relevant qualification in mechanical maintenance.
Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
Monday to Friday
42.5 hours per week
Please note that this is a day shift role however client is looking for someone who would be willing to cover nightshift at certain times.
